Mall Guest Guidance
We are excited to welcome you to The Inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States and JD Vance as the 50th Vice President of the United States in Washington, D.C., on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Please review the following details and instructions carefully to help ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. We look forward to celebrating this historic occasion with you!
Venue Information
National Mall – Between 4th and 12th Street
Washington, DC 20001 This event will be OUTDOORS with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Guest Arrival Information
The security line to enter the National Mall will begin to form early. Driving/parking is strongly discouraged, please utilize the Washington Metro System (WMATA) to arrive/depart the mall.
U.S.S.S. guest screening will open at 6:00 AM. The inaugural program will start at 9:30 AM; the Swearing-In Ceremony will start at 11:00 AM. To guarantee a spot, please arrive no later than 9:00 AM.
Guest Attire
Please dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes. Washington D.C is expecting cold temperatures. Attendees will have limited access to heated tents on a first-come, first-served basis.
Metro Information
For easy access of the National Mall, attendees should utilize the following metro stations:
- L’Enfant Plaza
- Federal Center SW
- Union Station
- Judiciary Square
- Gallery Place – Chinatown
- Metro Center
Volunteers will be positioned at each metro stop and street corner along the route to viewing areas.
The following metro stations will be closed on January 20th:
- McPherson Square
- Federal Triangle
- Smithsonian
- Mt. Vernon Sq. – Convention Center
- Archives-Navy Memorial
In addition, the Metro Center entrances at 13th and G St. NW and 12th and F St. NW will be closed.
Ride Share Drop-off Locations
App ride-share drop-off locations will be at nearby Metro stations. Please plan to be dropped off at the Metro stations. Numerous streets will be blocked off from vehicle access; attendees are encouraged to utilize the Metro for ease of access to the Inauguration.
ADA Information
ADA attendees will enter through the same magnetometers as all other guests. Limited accessible seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is recommended to secure ADA seating.
Medical Tents
Medical tents will be available throughout the event site for the convenience and safety of attendees.
Food and Beverage
Food and beverage concessions will be available for purchase within the venue. Please reference the diagram below for additional information.
Restrooms
Portable restrooms will be positioned throughout the Mall for guests to utilize.
Guest Security Information
The United States Secret Service will screen all guests entering the National Mall. Please plan accordingly; lines will begin to form early. Please see the additional security information below:
